The project
Using the double diamond framework, I designed Audie, an audiobook mobile app that is highly personal, highly interactive and brings even more utility to the user than a book ever could.

Problem statement: Millennial and Gen Z audiobook users who feel dissatisfied by the current audiobook experience, want to listen more but struggle to stay motivated on the current platforms.

My initial hypothesis was that the listening experience of audiobooks needed improvement. However, after conducting user research and synthesising the data, I realised that the current platforms are instead missing opportunities elsewhere. Therefore, I shifted focus to solving these missed user needs and created a brand-new audiobook experience that proved to be highly satisfying and ‘intuitive to use’ by target audience user testing.
